This 2 day course is standard first aid and it covers handling emergency situations regarding medical emergencies such as diabetes, cardiovascular emergencies, seizures, asthma, anaphylaxis, poisoning and environmental emergencies.
Candidates will also learn how to handle traumatic emergencies such as bleeding, sprains, strains, fractures and eye injuries. There is a multiple choice exam at the end of the course. CPR level c will also be included such will cover adult, child, infant CPR and obstructed airway treatments.
Candidates who finish the 2 day course will be able to qualify for the NLS course to become a lifeguard.
All RCC employees need to provide proof of Standard First Aid & CPR C to fulfill their contracts. Any employee who only needs a re-certification must provide proof of First Aid & CPR C and email info@rideaucanoeclub.ca
