2024 RCC Dragon Boat Regatta

The ultimate Dragon Boat experience —are you ready to finally put your skills to the test and show off what you've got? Sign up for the RCC Dragon Boat Regatta on August 17, 2024! Join us for a day full of adrenaline-fueled racing, cheering, and most importantly, bragging rights.

This is the event you've been working all summer towards, so don't miss out on seeing the best of the best compete! This is a regatta for recreational community teams. The focus is more on reaching a personal best or best time. Can your team beat the time it’s gotten at other festivals?

Regatta Details:

  • 1x500m + 1x200m + 1x500m Final
  • 1KM optional race
  • Dragons For All division
  • Space is limited to 24 teams

Regatta Fees:

  • $735+HST
  • Steering & Drumming - $100
  • ONLY Steering or Drumming - $75

What to Bring:
  • Transport Canada Approved PFD (life jacket) and paddle, if you want (equipment will be provided)
  • Comfortable, loose fitting clothing preferably made of quick drying fabric (you will get wet!)
  • Enough water for the length of the session
  • Sun screen
  • Hat, sunglasses, rain jacket & pants (if needed) 
  • Healthy lunch and snacks for a day of racing

Inclement Weather
​Paddling Programs can still have fun in the rain! However, if there is heavy rain, gusty winds, thunderstorms we can not be on the water. If inclement weather is forecasted on the Weather Network we will cancel the regatta and be in touch with all participants.

REFUND POLICY:

  • Registrations are only considered final when full payment is made.
  • NO REFUND will be issued once the session has already started.
  • NO REFUND will be issued if cancellation is done within the week before the session.
  • If cancellation is done at least 4 weeks before the start of the session, a refund will be issued less a $50 administration fee.
  • If cancellation is done at least 2 weeks before the start of the session, a refund of 50% will be issued.
  • All cancellation/refund requests must be done in writing to the RCC Administrator and Program Coordinator. All refund requests may take up to 2 weeks to process.
