SCHEDULE & DATES - 2024
The U18 and High Performance Programs are for experienced canoers and kayakers who are committed to attaining their training and racing goals. The program is tailored to meet individual athlete needs, and therefore does not always follow a standard schedule. Personal Equipment

Many competitive paddlers have their own equipment. Although the club has a large selection of boats and paddles, these are needed to run effective U16 programs. Most competitive paddlers purchase their own boat and paddle for their U18/HP training. If looking for the boat or paddle to best match the individual please consult your coach first.

A racing jersey is required for all EOD and Ontario sanctioned events.  We will have clothing available for sale in early May.

Paddlers should bring a training watch, full water bottle, sunscreen, hat, running shoes, spare clothing and healthy snacks each day. Clothes that are light and made of quick drying fabric are best.

    Affiliation Fees

Affiliation fees are mandatory for all athletes in the competitive program and only need to be paid once during the season. Affiliation Fees include CanoeKayak Canada, CanoeKayak Ontario, CKO Sprint and Eastern Ontario Division.

    Volunteering

The RCC is proud to host and attend several regattas throughout the on water season. The only way for a regatta to happen is with the help of our committed volunteers. Part of becoming a member of the RCC and signing up for the Sprint Program is committing to volunteering as per the RCC Volunteer Policy. Volunteering is great way to get to know the sport and wonderful people who make it such a special environment. We look forward to seeing you at one of the events! Any questions about volunteering can be directed to the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@rideaucanoeclub.ca
