Winter Training is an integral part of being a sprint canoe kayak athlete in Canada. At the RCC, athletes have an opportunity to cross train doing a variety of activities such as running, skating, weight lifting, swimming, pool paddling, paddling erg, and yoga.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday - Run or Erg 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm
Tuesday - Cardio Circuit 6:00am - 7:30am, Weights 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Wednesday - Run or Erg 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Thursday - Weights 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm
Friday - Run or Erg 4 pm- 6 pm
Saturday - Weights 7:30am - 8:45am
Sunday - Swim 4:30pm-6:30pm
Most weeks will be a swim, however there are certain weeks where the pool is closed and practice will be Run or Erg instead.
We may add more sessions as the winter progresses to ensure everyone is prepared for the upcoming season.
The winter session will start on November 12th, 2024 and end on March 30th, 2025.
